Best Laid Plans and All That

I just re-read my last post, and I had to laugh. I tried, and I failed, to do what I had hoped. Ah well. My journey has certainly been interesting, to say the least.

I spent the last 2 years, working with the Open Circle Pagan group on Fort Lee. The Distinctive Religious Group Leader (DRGL) is Robert Nelson, and he made me the Lay Leader. We both taught the soldiers how to protect themselves spiritually, how to use magic, and what the different types of Pagan practice are. I learned so much, and it was a lot of fun. But, as we are also a military family, we eventually had to move, and now we are in:

GERMANY!!

It has certainly been a wild ride. With Covid still ravaging the world, a war in Ukraine, with Russia as the aggressor, and a rough move overseas, I haven't been able to keep up with my studies the way I wanted to. Also, there is no Open Circle kind of group here on the Wiesbaden base we are at, so no Pagan services. We will be here 3 years, so I might be able to get something going eventually.

I am going to take these 3 years, and hopefully visit areas that are the physical foundations of my path. Kildare, Newgrange, etc... These are all places that I have wanted to visit for years, and suddenly they are all within my reach.

Right now, I continue to do my devotions almost daily, and wait for our books to be delivered from Ramstein. I am still going to do the dedicant path, but for now, just need to adjust to life here.

I hope that I can remember to write on here.
